EXHIBITION

Melitta Csorján - Hungary

Melitta Csorján was born in Székelyhíd (Romania).

She lives in Debrecen (Hungary). In 1997, she studies at the fine-arts academy at Nuj-Napoca (Romania), where she chooses the option “memorial painting”.

She received her degree in 2002 with success and she is a part of the « National Association of Artist and Creator » with the painting specialty.

« My goal is not to present the reality. I often paint people with mask and hairless. For me those are weapons to be separate from the world and a symbol of courage.

The fabulous surpass my colors and the atmosphere in my painting, even if themes are difficult.

In order to represent children, I use adult fashions or oldness to translate my fright about the growing up that I can’t avoid.

Toys (as the cone, the cabin, the wheel, the umbrella, dolls clothes) refer to my quiet and happy childhood.  My dreamed or imagined characters represent myself, even if the child in me is frighten about losing my things, and the adult in me wants to save the world with my childhood.

My inquietude is in my colors: calm and sweet and sometimes some flashy colors who means violent and changing feelings.
