The cutting-edge Schaubühne director Thomas Ostermeier stages Achternbusch’s subversive Susn, a ruthless critic of the State and Church. The breathtaking performance by the great German actress Brigitte Hobmeier depicts the leading character Susn over the span of the four ages of her lifetime, from her exuberant juvenile years to the bitter disappointments in the fall of her life.
