A WEEKEND OF PERFORMANCE
Incantations was born out of the play on light and shadows and the enchantment of our senses and state of mind through the voice and images. With bare hands, the designers, artists and puppeteers David Girondin Moab and Uta Gebert draw the extracts of texts from the Livre des poisons by Antonio Gamoned.
The sound of the words sinks deeply into the skin while the gaze goes beyond the black and white images outlined by the dim light of a projector. Needing no more than a light source, naked hands and a little imagination, ritual words, the voice of a singing story teller, brings to life enchanting silhouettes. Incantations, taking the art of shadows even further, transforming texts, plunged into a dream world, a mythical world out of which emerge microscopic organisms that support the secret plan of finitude.
