Around the show Guerres des paysages

Meeting Luke Mogelson, a writer and war reporter born in 1982 in Saint Louis, Missouri, whose next novel, Ces morts heureux et héroïques, was published in February 2018.

A great war reporter, Luke Mogelson covered for the New York Times the Afghan conflict, then the war in Syria and the Ebola epidemic in East Africa for the New Yorker. His collection of short stories, Ces morts heureux et héroïques, has just been published by Gallmeister Publishing. In ten subtly intertwined stories, Luke Mogelson depicts the consequences of war on combatants and civilians, and how the violence suffered or inflicted on the other side of the world affects the United States. His book resonates with contemporary conflicts in the lineage of Phil Klay and Kevin Powers.
